Introducing Our New Ministry

We are overjoyed to announce our new ministry launch today! This day is a special one for us, our supporters, and all of you. Below is the official announcement from our organization followed by a word from our new Team Leaders.

An announcement from our organization:

Dear Supporters and Friends of Nate and Brittany Bruns,

On behalf of ReachGlobal, the global missionary division of the Evangelical Free Church of America, I want to update you and express our gratitude for your faithful prayers and sacrificial partnership with Nate and Brittany.

Nate and Brittany contacted us this spring to seek counsel and guidance regarding new Spirit-led promptings and convictions on their hearts. ReachGlobal actively encourages their missionaries to spend dedicated time after each season of ministry to reflect, reconnect, and renew for the ministry God has called them to. We recognize that being a missionary is not a job, it is a calling that influences and shapes our response to serving in ministry.

During their time of renewal, they recognized that God was calling them into a very new ministry and role within ReachGlobal. In fact, this role is so new that ReachGlobal is still developing the network. The developing role, located in the United States, requires seasoned missionaries to work with our EFCA Districts to engage the church and not-yet-believers in post-Christian cities and communities in America.

We are excited to announce that Nate and Brittany have accepted positions as Mission Mobilizers with our EFCA Southeast District. Their years of dedicated pioneering work with churches and not- yet-believers in an urban, post-Christian city makes them uniquely designed to help ReachGlobal establish this ministry. A letter could never contain the value or the depth of their service for the cause of Christ in Germany. They have literally touched countless number of lives for the Gospel. We anticipate God will use them to do the same here stateside.

Nate and Brittany’s new team leader, Glen Schreiber and Stuart Humphrey are excited to have them serving multiple initiatives out of the Nashville area, forging new roles of ministry in EFCA districts. Their work is needed, and they are blazing new trails while connecting not-yet-believers to gospel centered churches and churches to not-yet-believers. We would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge that this work has higher financial expenses than their previous work in Germany, but it is worthy of your continued prayer and financial support. They will continue to be 100% crowd-funded missionaries but in a new location. Please join us in wishing Nate and Brittany all the best and welcoming them to a new season of ministry.

Again, thank you for your faithful prayer and financial partnership with them. If you have any further questions, you can contact me.

Our blessings for your sacrifices,

Tom Trowbridge

Director of Transitions for ReachGlobal

A word from our new team leaders

“What? I get to come alongside Nate and Brittany in their new stateside ministry role! Yes!! As a lover of the Church and its mission, I’ve come to believe we need those with global experience to refresh our local eyes as we seek to mobilize our churches to further ministry relevance. Nate and Brittany will bring just that to my part of the world. Can’t wait to collaborate!”
- Glen Schrieber, Superintendent, EFCASoutheast (SED)

“In my role of Director of Church Relations, I am often asked by churches for help to reach out beyond the walls of their building and into their communities. ReachGlobal has been gaining this experience in the post-Christian culture in Europe. I anticipate great things with my colleagues, Nate and Brittany, as they use expertise gained in Germany and apply it within the U.S. This collaboration will help us both in refining new disciple-making initiatives for our stateside churches and bolstering our partnership abroad.”
- Stewart Humphry, Director of Church Relations ReachGlobal
