Our Story

Nate, Brittany and their three kids became modern day missionaries 2016 when they moved to Potsdam, Germany. They often say, “We are the least likely to be missionaries.” Missions was never part of their family’s plan nor from their families of origin.  In the fall of 2014, God pulled them out of the corporate world after job loss, where the family then wandered the desert like the Israelites for one and a half years.  During those years the Lord taught them to trust Him for their manna, how to receive other’s generosity, how to live in deep relationship with Him, and what full reliance on Him means.  They say, “It was one of the most painful times of our life and we never want to do it again, and yet, we would because we experienced God in such deep ways daily.”

In 2023, their family returned stateside to continue their missionary work. Their current work requires seasoned missionaries to engage the church and not-yet-believers in post-Christian cities and communities in America. They love living among those who are 1st generation Christians and not yet believers and helping those in their church get out of it’s four corners.  Through their relational ministry their family connects with those inside and outside of the church for discipleship, mentoring, and sharing the gospel. They describe it as, “We live out the convictions of our heart in such a way that others can engage with the gospel.”

Their whole family is activity involved in their local church, in their communities of friends, mentoring young adults and newly married couples, and hosting countless dinners and gatherings in their home.  They are passionate about 3:00pm, the German hour of cake and coffee, dancing in the kitchen, and welcoming all people into their community.
