When you are raising support for your ministry it’s easy to get distracted coming up with the latest “marketing plan”. You know the ones that look like the ASPCA commercials with dogs in cages and cats without fur. They bleed my wallet dry. And to be honest, the times when I am thinking, “What Would Jesus Do?”, pictures of Germany bracelet’s that can be purchased at an Etsy store float across my mind.

Thankfully, God doesn’t use marketing plans. We know that when God decreed Cyrus to rebuild the temple, which would lead to the restored Jerusalem, He “anointed” Cyrus. And then “everyone whose heart God had moved” pitched in to help. The family heads of Judah and Benjamin, the priest, and Levites prepared to go up and build the house of the Lord with Cyrus. What did the neighbors of these tribes do? “Assisted them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with valuable gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings (prayer).”

We’ve seen the same thing. God has giving us our call – Move to Germany, share the gospel, disciple believers, and grow the church. And it is not some Fancy Nancy marketing plan that has a tribe of families that have joined ours. It’s God moving in the heart of the family head and their obedience to join in the work.

So, if you catch us trying to be the next Mark Cuban selling our website to Yahoo for $5.7B please remind us who we serve and how He works.
