So friends, I am not going to lie. Today Ministry Partnership Development felt like a long huge wooden roller coaster. You jump into your cart with great anticipate and then it starts to move and your heart keeps beating faster. It then starts the climb up the first of the mountains and flies down the other side and you quickly learn, “Expect the unexpected.” And as you whirl around one of the spins you realize you are bumping along so hard it might not be fun any more … in fact … it might just hurt… in fact you are discouraged because you know an ibuprofen is in your future.
So you do the only thing you know to do – pray, confess the sorrow, display the discouragement, expose your heart to the heavenly father.
And then it comes, a dear friend text you a Bible verse, it reads, “Lord, who can dwell in Your tent? Who can live on Your holy mountain? The one who lives honestly, practices righteousness, and acknowledged the truth in his heart.” Psalms 15:1-2
And there it is, God’s sweet reminder, “You, yes you, have done those things, now remember that church you haven’t called yet, call.”
So with great anticipation you call, the Pastor is joyed to speak with you, and he schedules coffee with you for Monday – WOW!!!!
Praise You, Praise You, Praise you, God. That is what you do. Encourage me in my discouragement. Thank you Lord for reminding my soul that You are in this, You ordained this, and You are a promise maker and keeper.
